Gift Giving Ideas- Entertaining

I love entertaining, which is a little interesting because I’m pretty introverted. There is something different when its my closest friends and family though. I’d have my immediate circle over any day, any time.

Personally, this was my favorite list to make. It includes a few things from my own wish list that are in my shopping cart, just waiting…

No. 1- Wine glasses. This particular style is from is from Anothropologie. I’ve been lucky enough to be in their store in quite a few cities recently, and these are just as pretty in person as they are online. I have a small collection of glassware started, not nearly as big as my sister-in-law, Haily’s, but I’m always on the lookout for unique pieces that will fit in.

No 2- Old Fashion Glasses. Green is my favorite color, which is pretty convenient at Christmas time. I especially love green and yellow glass, so these fit right into that theme. In all honestly, it was hard to narrow down to just these two glass types for this list. I feel like you can’t go wrong with most of the options ant Anthropologie, at least this year. They do an amazing job at blending classic and ornate style with modern.

No. 3- Butterfly Pie Plate. I’ve been on the lookout for a unique pie plate since early this summer. It’s one of those things though, where once you start looking, you can’t seem to find any that quite fit what you see in your mind. This comes pretty close, only down side- its hand wash only.

No. 4- Candles. I doubled up here! One the smells amazing and a a set that is would make the perfect center piece. The green candle might be the best smelling candle I’ve ever found. Blake and I walked into the store in Chicago and I immediately went looking for what smelled so good. It was this! Coincidentally, we later went to a speak easy where I ordered a cocktail with the description of “Anthropologie candle you can drink…”

No. 5- Decorative Dessert Plates. I’m a big fan of miss-matched dishes, but its something that really needs to be done slowly. It’s pretty unlikely that you would find all the right pieces at exactly the same time. I currently have small dessert plates with fun patterns that are different from this set, but love the color scheme here.

No. 6- Checkered Cheese Board. This my personal, number one item I want this Christmas. There is also one that has lighter, more neutral colors if that's more up your alley.

No. 7- Cheese Knives. I actually found quite a few nice sets of cheese knives this holiday season. Great for anyone who is on the charcuterie board kick and goes perfectly with the checkered cheese board.

No. 8- Scalloped Pasta Bowls. Who doesn’t like scallops? Back to my comment about miss-matched dishes: This is a set I’ve had my eyes on for awhile and mixes perfectly with I already have. I also feel like it would fit with quite a few different styles. This particular bowl is a wider style than the typical soup/cereal bowl, which works better for pastas and rice bowls.

No. 9- Mr. Rogers Dish towel. There will always be a special place in my heart for Mr. Rogers. I distinctly remember waking up from nap time, and watching Mr. Rogers each day while my brothers finished theirs. This towel cracks me up every time I come across it, because truly, he did not prepare me for ALL the types of people! This, along with No. 10 would make the perfect gift for the host as well.

No. 10- Printed dish towel. A nice, printed dishtowel is a great accessory to any other kitchen gift. Obviously, there are countless styles out there. The places I find the best luck for these are, of course, Anthropologie, Magnolia and Target. Here is a link for this particular style:
